It’s Fallon’s (fake) wedding day, she’s pretending to marry Jeff Colby as part of a plan to ensure the Colby’s don’t get their hands on the Carrington’s businesses. Her brother Steven reminds Sam that they can’t be seen together as a couple at the wedding now that everyone thinks he is dating Ted Dinard. Fallon fixes Sam up with a “plus one”, Liam, so he doesn’t have to go to the wedding alone. But when Steven sees Sam and Liam together, he realises he’s got his priorities all wrong and that he can’t be without Sam. However, Steven’s grandfather, Thomas Carrington, has other views on the matter.
11:25 Part 16 (S1E16)…
The Carringtons' move from a wedding to a funeral. Thomas Carrington died of a heart attack at the after-wedding party. After receiving a summons to attend a hearing with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency, Sam discovers it was Thomas who reported him. Steven steps in to help and uses his connections to try and get Sam a Visa so he can stay in the US. He goes to see the wife of Senator Paul Daniels, Melissa Daniels, with whom he had a brief fling 10 years previously, before he realised his true sexuality. Sam gets his visa. Steven makes a surprise announcement at the funeral.
