In Part 8 (The season 1 finale of this storyline)...
It’s the start of the summer holiday and the students get together for the End of School Year Party. Omar’s father has told his sister, Nadia, that she will be going to a new school after the summer. She asks if she can go to the party to say farewell to her friends. Her father tells her she can go, but only if he and Omar go with her to act as chaperones. During the evening Omar and Ander slip away for a rendezvous in one of the classrooms. Ander asks Omar if he will ever be free of his father. And Omar asks Ander when he will be free of his, and if will he give up tennis. Ander replies that all he wants is to be with Omar.
They return to the party in time for the presentation of the annual “Best Pupil of the Year” Award. Nadia has high hopes of winning it, as does Lucretia (Lu). But unexpectedly, the prize is awarded to Marina. After the presentation she wonders off to the swimming pool, where she has arranged to meet Nano so they can run away together. But sadly, she is attacked and smashed on the head with the trophy. When her lifeless body is found by the pool, the police are called and begin to question everyone. Marina’s family organise a wake in her memory and it is then that the reality of the situation hits home for Ander. He plucks up the courage to tell his father that he doesn’t want to play tennis again. He also realises that Omar is grounded and will be working in the shop all summer long, closely watched by his father. So, will they ever be able to meet up again?
